What we collect

Flimt is a local-first app. Your learning progress, settings, and word data stay on your device. We collect only:

• Device identifier — a random ID generated on first launch, used to sync your account across devices if you choose to sign in.
• Email address — only if you voluntarily create an account. Used for sign-in codes and support replies.
• Feedback messages — only what you explicitly send via the in-app feedback form.
• Basic analytics — anonymous usage events (screens visited, features used) to improve the app. No personal data is included.

Legal basis (GDPR)

Device identifier: legitimate interest (operating the service). Email address: your consent (voluntarily provided). Analytics: legitimate interest (product improvement, no personal data).

How we use your data

To operate the app, deliver sign-in codes, respond to your support messages, and improve the product. We do not sell or share your data with third parties.

Email

Transactional emails (sign-in codes, support replies) are sent via Brevo (Sendinblue SAS), an EU-based email provider. Your email address is shared with Brevo solely for delivery. See Brevo's privacy policy.

Data storage

Server-side data is stored on a Hetzner server in Nuremberg, Germany (EU). All data stays within the European Union.

Your rights (GDPR)

You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data at any time by contacting us. You may also withdraw consent for email communication.

Data deletion

Delete your account from the app's Settings screen, or contact us. We will remove all server-side data associated with your device and email.
